Bush friends to drill Alaska
56Say it's no so
Bush Calls For Major Increase In US Energy Output U.S. President George W. Bush pressed Congress to take quick steps to boost oil production in the U.S., sharpening the clash with Democrats over energy policy as consumers struggle with soaring gasoline prices.
Speaking in the Rose Garden, Bush outlined a four-point plan to tackle the imbalance between supply and demand that the White House believes is the main force pushing oil prices to record levels. He called for Congress to lift a moratorium on drilling off the U.S. coast, open Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling, develop oil shale resources and expand domestic oil-refining capacity.
"The proposals I've outlined will take years to have their full impact," Bush said, calling on lawmakers to act before the Fourth of July holiday. "There is no excuse for delay. As a matter of fact, there's a reason to move swiftly." Most of Bush's proposals are long-held policy positions. But the debate is more urgent with gasoline prices averaging more than $4 a gallon.
I would laugh if I didn't think it was sickening, Here I am an ordinary citizen that can just sit here and read our president like a book. Now first off, let me state my case. If I said it once I said it a million times, I think it's ludicrous to drill our shores and especially the Arctic National Wildlife refuge and the florida everglades, It's bad enough that they are out there in the Gulf anyway.
See my problem is that you drill such assets when you lack vision, and innovation. That is not the picture of America that I see. Now maybe I'm wrong, maybe because they beat us down with the lies that lead to us to being involved in a two front war, or maybe may be it's the billions that we have spent on the wars that go unaccounted fore. Either way we must be really running scared if we allow them to sell out these vast resources on the primus that the price of gas s going to drop.
The last time I checked, it could take close to three years for the oil to even become gas. They are scaring you, into this allowing them to drill our shores, like they scared you into allowing them to create a department of homeland security. Those yellow orange and red terror alerts, they were design to scare you and apparently they did a good job. Because we are now slaves to a high cost worthless security system that can spy on us. That's what we got when we wanted security, now all they have to do is require all of us to have a chip in our right hand or for head and they will have done the devil's job for him.
So now we what cheap gas, and yes I want it too. But at what cost are you willing to pay, bush already sold out the polar bears that were put on the endangered species list on his watch. I guess the question is how soon will he sale you out. He has damned near bankrupt this country with his spending policies, what we should be worried about are he and his cronies giving away the rest of the store. Something my father told me is just because a person is rich, it really doesn't make him smart. You can take that for what it's worth.
But I guess what I'm really trying to say, are you willing to give up our country for a pipe dream.
Well that is what your being sold, a pipe dream. Now get this picture, they will get to drill and take our oil and make a profit doing so. All we will get is high-priced gas. Now let us get kind of creative, yes you can drill the oil but you have to give the people 90% of the profits. Now that sounds like a deal, Not. In times like these we need the best minds, and the best ingenuity to create a viable solution to the problem and Guess what, It doesn't include oil.
Bush Just Don't Get It

I have to say that anything they do is only put in place to distort out thinking and gain money and more than money ...let me say it is about power. Yes they (who ever they are) make money ...but the real answer to all of the mouth power is true power and control. Now who could not believe that control is definitely on the short list of things to do.
Good hub!

Haven't they been drilling in Alaska all this time?
The Simpson's movie said all Alaskans are paid a $1000 residence compensation to let the government drill there.
The big news is that they want to start drilling "offshore'...meaning, in land that is not owned by the United States.
I wonder how that's going to pan out?
