Gas is on the rise

While your spending so much time concentrating on the stimulus package, an in justice is taking place at your local gas station. Every time you put gas in your car you are getting ripped off. That’s right oil is down, the war in Gaza has stopped, but the gas prices keep going up. I guess they will not stop until they run you dry. The oil companies blame the gas stations, the gas stations blame the oil men, well I don’t care who’s to blame. What I do care about is that it has to stop, according to my calculations and they may be wrong we should be paying ninety-nine cents per gallon and that with the oil prices at forty-eight dollars a barrel. Now if you don’t mine getting ripped off then that’s on you, but I don’t like it and understand that the only way to get things done, you must speak out.

Here is what I would see as a wonderful day, the day they obsolete that type of oil, now I may be dreaming and it may be along time coming, but I believe it is possible and we as a country should make it happen. You have to write your government officials and put the pressure on, be as you can see they don’t have very much sense anyway. You have to tell them what you want or they will give you what they want, and for some reason all they want is to fill their pockets.

But if you tell a friend, and they tell a friend, then maybe we can get some of this promised change.

What you have to understand is that the oil companies are greedy, they are no better then the banks, maybe they should have had to bail the banks out. Ha! Hah! But anyway we have to make some noise, because the noise gets the attention. You know I was sitting here thinking, even if the oil was obsolete the oil men would find some way to milk us out of our money. Maybe we should start an individual power movement, where everyone own’s and supplies there own power, oh I forgot it would be hard for congress to figure out how to tax us so they probably would not allow it.

Wake up America, Big business is the big problem, they’re greedy and when all is said and done you will realize that they are at the bottom of this crisis. Let me show you a little of the math, If you send thousands of jobs to other countries to save cost, you lose not only those jobs but you lose the buying power of all those people. Well if people can’t afford to buy the goods, the stores don’t make the money they need, so they lay off more people, and on, an on, an on. The end results are, that the economy tanks. The same thing happens when something is over priced, there will pe players in the market that can’t afford it, so they stop using it, the company makes money from those who could afford it. But eventually they have more supply then demand, so the price has to drop or the layoffs have to start to compensate for the profit.

I said all that to say this, Big business is a problem because they are greedy and the only thing they care about it taking your money at any cost. So write you house and senate representative and complain about the rising gas prices. But that is just my opinion.

We in the UK never cease to be amazed at the fuss that Americans make about their fuel prices. When your prices get above $8.00 a gallon, that will be about the equivalent of what we pay here!

Most of your fuel price is taxes , well we had the boston tea party because of over taxiation, So our gas should be cheaper. So it's not a complaint it's justice and it because we never want our government to get like yours.

Im wondering what the yearly wage average is in the UK compared to the US. I think there is a 10k-15k difference... then again though my source was yahoo answers. lol. So im not sure. If gas is 8+ a gallon in the UK, I would imagine their yearly income would have to be much higher there, than here in the US.

I think the average salary here is around £30,000 a year, which would be about $40,000. No, I think the difference is that we pay a higher proportion of our income on transport than Americans do. Given that the developed world needs to pay really serious attention to the consequences of emtting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, there is a strong argument for keeping fuel costs high.

Yes, a large proportion of the fuel cost is taxation, but that is necessary to pay for our welfare state, which is something of which we can be extremely proud!

If green house gases is the problem why not just change the fuel, then they would not have to over tax you so you all would fill good about yourselves.

As far as the walfare, well I'm extremely proud of your system too. That why I live here in the USA.

Amount of taxes people pay for gases vary depending upon various factors. For example we Indians pay as much as 45% for taxes on oil products.

I don't see a situation where gas prices are going to get lower in the future.

Here is my article on "factors involved in gas price rise"
