Not Another Fee Verizon
53No More Fees
Yesterday I was floored when Verizon announced that they were going to charge a two dollar fee
To everyone that pays there bill online. What! Charge you to pay a bill; well I can see a late fee,
I could see a fee for getting connected but a fee for paying your bill. You know I was shocked. Now
I give it to them, that they have the best wireless network, I will give them that, but lately they have become very greedy. So now they feel that they have to try and nickel and dime us to death.
Now normally I get mad, but this time I was calm, and used my mind and decided that I’m going too slowly but surely drop out of this technology Rat Race. I don’t care about what you’re going to do, but I am going to get smart, and use every opportunity to take my money back from these thieves. Well the first thing I did is check all my bills and I found out that my thieving mortgage company charges me ten dollars to pay my bill online. My mortgage company is Aurora Bank, and they are also thieves.
I guess what I’m telling you, is that Verizon is not the only one. Now I have a problem with this because these payment made by computer can be instant, and their cost is very low. But they want to rip us off.
So during my check I found out that I also pay the $200 for Verizon Fios, which includes television, internet, and telephone so you know that I am looking for a new service to replace them. Congress should open up that monopoly. But losing those two hundred dollars for a measly two dollars, that sounds like something a fool would do.
So I decided the second thing I’m going to do is to go to the post office and buy me some stamps, I’m going to pay my bill by mail, and I’m giving up making online payments. Now paying by snail mail is slower, and it cost more because its manual, just maybe it will save a postal job. I will order some new checks tomorrow and I will start paying all my bills by check and I encourage you to do the same thing.
Next I will encourage everyone to look at their bills and see what the extra fee’s they are being charged and put an end to it. So don’t be surprised if you start seeing banners, blogs and ads that campaign against such fees and a sight listing what people are doing or can do to combat them. But this is just my opinion.
